Located at 805 East Seventh Street in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Lafourche Parish operates as an open, traditional public school district serving the educational needs of its community within a small city setting in the Houma-Bayou Cane-Thibodaux metropolitan area. As a non-charter district that operates independently of a supervisory union, it oversees 30 operational schools providing comprehensive instruction from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district serves a total enrollment of 13,326 students across early childhood, elementary, middle, and secondary grade levels, serving as a core educational foundation for the parish.
