NEW YORK CITY GEOGRAPHIC DISTRICT #12

Located at 1970 W. Farms Road in the Bronx, New York City Geographic District #12 serves as an active, non-charter public school district anchored in a major urban setting within the New York metropolitan area. Spanning 46 operational schools, the district delivers a complete educational continuum from prekindergarten through 12th grade, alongside specialized ungraded learning options. As a core supervisory component of the city’s public education system, the district provides a structured and accessible learning environment designed to support students and families across every stage of their primary and secondary education journey.

For the 2024–2025 academic year, District #12 encompasses a vibrant student body of nearly 17,000 learners, characterized by rich cultural diversity with significant Hispanic and Black student populations alongside Asian, White, American Indian, Pacific Islander, and multiracial students. To address the academic and developmental needs of its community, the district maintains a powerful educational workforce comprising over 5,100 full-time equivalent staff members.
