Marion County Schools

Marion County Schools is an active, traditional public school district headquartered at 1516 Mary Lou Retton Drive in Fairmont, West Virginia. Nestled within the Fairmont metropolitan region and serving a distant town setting, the district functions as a primary educational hub for the surrounding community. Across its 21 operational campuses, Marion County Schools provides a complete academic continuum spanning from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Educating over 7,100 students, the district offers early childhood development, comprehensive elementary instruction, and robust secondary pathways designed to prepare young scholars for higher education and future career opportunities.

To support its student body, the district maintains an extensive operational network backed by a workforce of more than 2,200 full-time equivalent staff members.
