NORTH VALLEY ACADEMY

Located at 7939 4th Street NW in Albuquerque, New Mexico, North Valley Academy operates as an active, independent charter school district within a large suburban community setting in the greater Albuquerque metropolitan area. Functioning as its own local education agency for federal programs, the district oversees a single dedicated campus that serves students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. This focused educational structure allows the academy to cultivate a continuous, supportive learning journey through primary and middle school, helping young learners build strong academic and social foundations before they transition to high school environments.

During the 2024–2025 school year, North Valley Academy enrolled 280 students, maintaining small grade-level cohorts that range from 47 kindergarteners and 38 third graders down to 12 eighth graders. The student body richly reflects the demographic makeup of the surrounding region, composed of 226 Hispanic, 29 White, 13 multiracial, 9 American Indian, 2 Asian, and 1 Black student. To support this diverse population, the academy maintains a substantial staffing infrastructure of just over 70 full-time equivalent (FTE) personnel. This dedicated team includes nearly 40 classroom teachers, 7 instructional aides, and almost 24 support staff members, ensuring a highly supportive student-to-educator context tailored to individual learning needs.
