The Seed School of Maryland

The SEED School of Maryland, located in Baltimore, is a unique public, state-funded college-preparatory boarding school. Designed specifically for students who would benefit most from a 24-hour learning environment, the school serves students in grades 6 through 12. Its mission is to provide an intensive, structured academic experience that prepares young people—particularly those from underserved communities—for success in college and beyond. By removing students from potentially unstable environments and immersing them in a campus culture that emphasizes high academic standards and personal responsibility, the school aims to level the playing field and foster long-term achievement.

The school operates on a five-day residential model, where students live on campus from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon.
