KIPP Compton Community District

Located at 1650 West 134th Street in Compton, California, KIPP Compton Community District is an open, independent charter district operating within the large-suburban setting of the greater Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim metropolitan area. Functioning as its own local educational agency for federal programs, the single-school district is structured to serve students from kindergarten through eighth grade. For the 2024–2025 academic year, the district educates a vibrant student body of 783 children spanning kindergarten through sixth grade, providing a structured and welcoming educational environment designed to prepare young scholars for long-term academic success.

The district serves a richly diverse community, with a student population that includes 503 Black or African American students, 245 Hispanic students, and representation from multiracial and other backgrounds. To foster holistic student development and academic growth, KIPP Compton maintains a robust organizational framework comprising more than 63 full-time equivalent (FTE) teachers and 85 support staff members, totaling nearly 148 full-time educational professionals. This strong staffing model ensures a favorable student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 12 to 1, allowing educators to deliver individualized attention, strong classroom instruction, and comprehensive support services across the campus.
