KIPP Esperanza High District

KIPP Esperanza High District is an active, independent public charter district situated at 1039 Garden St. in East Palo Alto, California. Operating a single operational high school campus, the district serves students in grades 9 through 12 within the large suburban community of the greater San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont metropolitan area. Functioning as an independent local educational agency for federal programs, KIPP Esperanza offers a focused secondary education environment designed to prepare young adults for post-secondary academic and career success.

For the 2024–2025 academic year, the district educates a close-knit student body of 194 enrolled students, balanced across 43 freshmen, 40 sophomores, 54 juniors, and 57 seniors. The student population is predominantly Hispanic—accounting for 185 of the total enrolled students—alongside Black, Pacific Islander, Asian, and White peers, with a gender breakdown of 88 female and 106 male students. To ensure individualized attention and comprehensive support, KIPP Esperanza maintains a strong staffing structure comprising 38 full-time equivalent teachers, 4 instructional aides, and 21 dedicated support personnel, bringing its total workforce to more than 63 full-time equivalent professionals.
