Birmingham Community Charter High District

Located at 17000 Haynes Street in Lake Balboa, California, Birmingham Community Charter High District operates as an active, independent charter district within the bustling urban setting of the Greater Los Angeles area. Serving as its own single-school local educational agency, the district is dedicated exclusively to secondary education, offering comprehensive instruction for students in grades 9 through 12. Across the 2024–2025 academic year, the campus welcomed a large student body of 3,162 pupils, maintaining strong enrollment across all high school levels, led by an entering class of 882 ninth-graders. The district’s student body reflects a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds, dominated by a large Hispanic majority alongside vibrant Black, White, Asian, and multiracial student communities.

To effectively guide and empower its large student population, the district maintains a robust operational infrastructure backed by nearly 588 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members.
