NextGeneration STEAM Academy District

Located at 18001 Commercial St. in Lathrop, California, the NextGeneration STEAM Academy District is an active, independent public charter district serving families within the suburban environment of the Stockton-Lodi metropolitan area. Operating as a single-school local educational agency, the district delivers a focused curriculum tailored for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Designed to cultivate early inquiry and academic rigor in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, the academy offers a structured educational pathway spanning the foundational elementary and middle school years.

The district currently educates a vibrant student body of 797 learners, comprising 407 female and 390 male students across its primary and middle grade levels. Reflecting the rich diversity of its surrounding community, the student population includes strong representation from Asian (366 students) and Hispanic (256 students) backgrounds, alongside Black (85 students), White (73 students), American Indian, Pacific Islander, and multiracial scholars. To foster an engaging and well-supported learning environment, the district maintains a robust workforce of approximately 142 full-time equivalent staff members. This team includes over 67 dedicated classroom teachers, 15 instructional aides, and nearly 59 support personnel, ensuring that students receive comprehensive academic instruction, specialized care, and operational support throughout their academic journey.
