Crete Academy District

Located at 6103 Crenshaw Blvd. in South Los Angeles, Crete Academy District operates as an open, independent charter district serving families within a vibrant, large-city setting. Functioning as its own local education agency for federal programs, the district manages a single operational campus dedicated to early childhood and elementary education, encompassing Kindergarten through 6th grade. By focusing specifically on these foundational grade levels, the district offers an accessible, community-centered academic environment tailored to young scholars during their most pivotal learning years.

According to federal data for the 2024–2025 academic year, Crete Academy District serves a cohesive student body of 284 scholars, including 162 female and 122 male students. Reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of its urban neighborhood, the student population predominantly comprises Black (183) and Hispanic (90) learners, alongside multiracial and Native American students. To support student achievement and well-being, the district maintains a remarkably robust staffing structure featuring over 29 full-time equivalent (FTE) classroom teachers, 7 instructional aides, and nearly 60 support staff members.
