Rise Kohyang Middle District

Located at 600 South Lafayette Park Place in Los Angeles, California, Rise Kohyang Middle District is an active, independent charter district dedicated to serving middle school students within a large city setting. Operating a single middle school campus within the broader Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim metropolitan area, the district offers a specialized academic program designed specifically for students in the sixth through eighth grades. The school currently educates a close-knit student body of 280 pupils, comprising 95 sixth graders, 68 seventh graders, and 117 eighth graders, with a balanced distribution of 145 male and 135 female students. Reflecting the vibrant multicultural demographics of its surrounding urban community, the student population predominantly includes Hispanic and Asian scholars, alongside Black, White, and multiracial youth.

To support academic achievement and whole-child development, Rise Kohyang Middle District maintains a strong professional staff equivalent to nearly 55 full-time positions.
