Gateway College and Career Academy District

Gateway College and Career Academy District is an active, independent public charter district situated in the large city setting of Riverside, California. Located at 4800 Magnolia Ave. within the broader Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metropolitan area, this dedicated single-campus district focuses exclusively on high school education, serving students across grades 9 through 12. Functioning as its own local educational agency for federal programs, the academy provides specialized secondary programming designed to bridge the gap between traditional high school coursework, post-secondary college pathways, and future career readiness.

The district serves a focused student body of 394 enrolled learners, with the largest representations in the 10th grade (160 students) and 12th grade (131 students), alongside robust 11th grade (78 students) and 9th grade (25 students) cohorts. Demographically, the student body reflects the vibrant diversity of the surrounding region, comprising 301 Hispanic, 45 White, 24 Black, 12 multiracial, 9 Asian, and 3 Pacific Islander students, balanced between 211 male and 183 female learners. To support student achievement and holistic growth, the district maintains a robust operational foundation supported by nearly 74 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members. This team includes approximately 16 FTE teachers, 11 FTE instructional aides, and 47 FTE support staff dedicated to foster a close-knit, supportive environment tailored to upper-level secondary success.
