Gateway Middle District

Gateway Middle District is an active, independent charter district dedicated to middle school education in the heart of San Francisco, California. Located at 1512 Golden Gate Ave. within a vibrant large-city setting in the San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont metropolitan area, this single-school district operates as its own local educational agency for federal programs, serving students in grades 6 through 8. During the 2024–2025 academic year, the district educates a focused cohort of 247 total students, consisting of 63 sixth graders, 86 seventh graders, and 98 eighth graders.
