Goodwin University Educational Services (GUES)

Situated at 1 Riverside Drive in East Hartford, Connecticut, Goodwin University Educational Services (GUES) operates as an active public special education and vocational district within the Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford metropolitan region. Set in a vibrant small city community, the district oversees two operational schools that deliver a complete academic continuum spanning from pre-kindergarten all the way through twelfth grade. Rather than functioning as a charter system, GUES provides specialized, career-focused, and individualized educational pathways, serving as a vital public asset for families and regional communities seeking tailored educational opportunities.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, GUES serves a total student body of 1,223 pupils, reflecting a vibrant cultural diversity that includes 593 Hispanic, 383 Black, 135 White, and 68 Multiracial students, alongside Asian, Native American, and Pacific Islander learners. To deliver its specialized programs effectively, the district maintains an extensive staffing infrastructure of over 374 full-time equivalent (FTE) personnel.
