Area Cooperative Educational Services

Located at 350 State Street in North Haven, Connecticut, Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is an open, specialized public district dedicated to regional vocational and special education services across the greater New Haven metropolitan area. Situated within a midsize city setting, this non-charter district operates three distinct school facilities that deliver tailored educational programs ranging from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. ACES fills a critical role in the community by offering inclusive, specialized environments designed to foster both academic growth and essential life skills for a diverse student body drawn from surrounding communities.

The district currently serves a student body of 1,726 learners and maintains a substantial, highly specialized workforce to meet their individualized learning needs. Demonstrating a strong commitment to wraparound support, ACES maintains a total workforce of over 1,622 full-time equivalent (FTE) team members. This robust staffing model includes approximately 444 FTE teachers, 337 FTE instructional aides, and 841 FTE support staff professionals.
