Center City PCS

Center City Public Charter Schools (Center City PCS) is an active, independent public charter school district rooted in the urban heart of Washington, D.C. Headquartered at 301 N Street NE, Suite 200, the district operates within a large city setting in the greater Washington-Arlington-Alexandria metropolitan area. Center City PCS encompasses six operational schools dedicated to early childhood and middle-grades education, serving a continuous academic pathway from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. According to federal education data for the 2024–2025 school year, the district educates a total of 1,447 students, maintaining a balanced distribution across its primary and middle school grade levels to prepare young scholars for high school and beyond.

The district reflects the rich cultural diversity of the nation's capital, serving a student body that includes 1,086 Black students, 293 Hispanic students, and 48 multiracial students, among others. To foster a well-supported learning environment, Center City PCS maintains a robust workforce comprising more than 513 full-time equivalent (FTE) team members. This dedicated team includes approximately 293 classroom teachers, 39 instructional aides providing tailored learning assistance, and 181 support staff members who oversee administrative, specialized, and operational needs.
