MOT Charter School

MOT Charter School is an active, independent charter school district headquartered at 1156 Levels Road in Middletown, Delaware. Positioned within a rural fringe setting as part of the greater Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington metropolitan area, the district functions as a self-contained public local education agency serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Operating out of a single instructional facility, MOT Charter School provides a continuous educational continuum from early childhood elementary grades straight through high school graduation, operating autonomously under federal ESEA and Perkins program designations to deliver tailored learning experiences for local families.

During the 2024–2025 school year, the district enrolled a total of 1,407 students, consisting of 726 young men and 681 young women. The student body reflects a rich tapestry of backgrounds, including 585 White, 410 Black, 280 Asian, 65 multiracial, and 56 Hispanic students, along with American Indian and Pacific Islander representation. While elementary and middle school grade levels maintain balanced cohorts of approximately 75 to 80 students per grade, enrollment expands significantly in the secondary grades, peaking at 208 ninth-grade students. To support student achievement and campus operations, the district employs a dedicated workforce of 292 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members, anchored by 162 classroom teachers, 15 instructional aides, and 115 specialized support personnel.
