POLYTECH School District

Located at 823 Walnut Shade Road in Woodside, Delaware, POLYTECH School District is an active, conventional public school district situated within a midsize suburban setting in the Dover metropolitan area. Dedicated exclusively to secondary education, the district operates a single campus facility that serves students in grades 9 through 12. Currently educating a total student body of 1,228 high schoolers—ranging from 334 freshmen in 9th grade to 286 seniors preparing for graduation—the district provides a focused environment tailored to preparing young adults for college, career technical fields, and post-secondary opportunities.

To foster student success, POLYTECH maintains a comprehensive professional workforce composed of 160 full-time equivalent teachers, supported by more than 113 dedicated support personnel and instructional aides, bringing the total district staff context to nearly 280 full-time equivalent positions. The student population features a balanced gender distribution of 636 female and 592 male students, representing a diverse community that includes 666 White, 305 Black, 129 Hispanic, and 101 multiracial students, alongside Asian, Native American, and Pacific Islander peers.
