Located at 310 NW 11th Avenue in Trenton, Florida, the Gilchrist School District serves as a cornerstone of public education within a distant rural community in the broader Gainesville area. As an open, traditional public school system, the district manages six operational schools designed to guide students through every stage of their academic journey, offering a comprehensive curriculum from prekindergarten through 12th grade. With a total enrollment of 2,858 students, Gilchrist balances the feel of a close-knit community with the resources needed to deliver complete early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school programming.
