State Specialty Schools I - Discovery Regional High School is a newly established public educational district located at 245 North Robinson Street in Lenox, Georgia. Situated within a rural distant community, this specialized, non-charter district is uniquely designed to provide dedicated special education and vocational programming tailored to secondary learners. Operating through a single dedicated school campus, the district serves students in grades 9 through 12, offering targeted academic pathways, life skills, and career preparation to help young adults successfully transition into higher education, vocational fields, or the workforce.

During the 2024–2025 school year, the district enrolled 136 high school students, comprising 27 ninth graders, 45 tenth graders, 44 eleventh graders, and 20 twelfth graders. The student body—composed of 70 male and 66 female learners—reflects a rich cultural mix, including 113 Black, 10 White, 9 Hispanic, and 4 multiracial students. To foster an enriched, highly supportive learning atmosphere, the district employs a robust workforce of 58.2 full-time equivalent staff members. This includes 31.2 instructional teachers and 27 support staff members, yielding an exceptionally low student-to-teacher ratio of under five to one. This specialized staffing model ensures that each student receives intensive, personalized attention and tailored support services throughout their high school journey.
