WEST JEFFERSON DISTRICT

Located at 1256 East 1500 North in Terreton, Idaho, the West Jefferson District serves as a foundational educational hub within the rural, remote landscape of the greater Rexburg metropolitan area. Operating as an active, traditional public school system, the district manages four operational schools that deliver a seamless academic pathway from pre-kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. For families and community members, this public district provides accessible, centralized learning environments designed to support students at every milestone of their primary and secondary education.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, the district serves a close-knit student body of 622 learners, comprising 315 male and 307 female students. The district's enrollment reflects a diverse rural demographic, including 470 White students and 147 Hispanic students, alongside individuals from Pacific Islander and multiracial backgrounds. To foster learning and operational success across its campuses, the district maintains a dedicated workforce of roughly 147 full-time equivalent staff members. This includes 73 full-time teachers, 11 instructional aides, and over 63 support personnel, creating a favorable staffing structure that ensures students receive both focused classroom instruction and well-rounded support services.
