Situated at 1343 E 7th Street in Lockport, Illinois, the Lockport Area Special Education Cooperative serves as an active, specialized public educational district anchored within the suburban setting of the broader Chicago-Naperville-Elgin metropolitan area. Operating four dedicated school facilities, this non-charter cooperative focuses on targeted instruction and vocational programming rather than following a conventional K–12 grade-level framework. To fulfill its specialized mandate, the cooperative relies on an extensive support network powered by a workforce of more than 95 full-time equivalent staff members.
