The Portage School of Leaders

Located at 305 W. Madison St. in South Bend, Indiana, The Portage School of Leaders is an open, independent charter district offering a focused secondary education environment. Operating as a single-school district within the midsize urban setting of the South Bend-Mishawaka metropolitan area, this public charter currently serves students in grades 9 through 11. Designed to provide a tight-knit and inclusive academic community, the school enrolled 61 students during the 2024–2025 academic year, comprising 22 ninth graders, 25 tenth graders, and 14 eleventh graders.
