Jefferson West

Located at 3675 74th Street in Meriden, Kansas, Jefferson West School District (USD 340) is an active, independent public school system serving students from prekindergarten through 12th grade. Situated within a rural distant setting near the greater Topeka metropolitan area, the district operates three schools tailored to support the academic and developmental milestones of local youth. As a traditional public district, Jefferson West delivers a comprehensive educational continuum—from early childhood foundation classes and primary elementary grades up through complete high school graduation pathways and ungraded programming.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, the district enrolled a total of 843 students, comprising 408 female and 435 male learners.
