Discovery Health Sciences Foundation

Located at 17255 S Harrells Ferry Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Discovery Health Sciences Foundation operates as an open, independent charter district serving families within the rural fringe of the greater Baton Rouge metropolitan area. Centered around a single dedicated school campus, the district delivers a continuous educational experience spanning early childhood through middle school, welcoming children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The district currently serves a close-knit student body of 316 learners, characterized by a rich diversity that includes 161 Black, 89 White, 34 Hispanic, 21 multiracial, and 11 Asian students, creating an inclusive and culturally vibrant learning community.

The district's organizational structure places a strong emphasis on comprehensive student support, maintaining an impressive workforce of 106 full-time equivalent staff members. This includes 52 dedicated classroom teachers, 14 instructional aides, and 40 support personnel, ensuring that academic, operational, and developmental needs are thoroughly met across all grade levels.
