Louisiana School for Math Science & the Arts

The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is an open, specialized public district situated at 715 University Parkway in the historic, remote town setting of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Operating as a unique, non-charter specialized educational entity centered around a single campus, LSMSA offers an intensive, tuition-free residential and day program for high-achieving students across the state. The district selectively serves upper-level secondary grades—specifically 10th through 12th grade—providing an environment tailored for sophomores, juniors, and seniors seeking advanced pathways in STEM fields, humanities, and the visual and performing arts.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, the school supports a close-knit student body of 272 scholars, comprising 75 sophomores, 105 juniors, and 92 seniors.
