West Michigan Aviation Academy

Located in a large suburban setting within the Grand Rapids metropolitan area, West Michigan Aviation Academy is an active independent charter district dedicated exclusively to high school education. Operating from its single campus at 5363 44th St SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the academy serves students in grades 9 through 12. Functioning as its own local educational agency for federal programs, this open and fully operational district offers a specialized secondary learning environment designed to prepare young adults for post-secondary education and future career opportunities.

The academy supports a focused student body of 600 enrolled pupils, with balanced representation across all four high school levels—ranging from 149 freshmen to 154 graduating seniors.
