Hale Area Schools

Located at 200 W Main St in Hale, Michigan, Hale Area Schools is an open, traditional public school district serving its local community within a rural remote setting. Operating as a single-facility district rather than a charter or component of a supervisory union, Hale Area Schools provides a continuous educational pathway for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The district offers a unified, close-knit academic structure on a single campus, ensuring a cohesive experience as learners progress from early elementary grades through high school graduation.

For the 2024–2025 academic year, the district serves a total enrollment of 347 students, featuring a nearly equal gender balance of 175 female and 172 male learners. Individual class sizes remain intimate and focused, ranging from 41 students in the first grade to 19 in the graduating senior class.
