Sanilac ISD

Sanilac ISD is an active public intermediate district headquartered at 175 E. Aitken Road in Peck, Michigan. Serving a rural remote region, this non-charter special education and vocational district plays a vital educational role, managing two operational schools designed to support specialized learning pathways and career-technical development. The district offers a broad educational scope spanning from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as ungraded specialized programming, tailored to serve students with diverse physical, academic, and vocational needs.

Reflecting its dedicated mission, Sanilac ISD enrolls 347 students, with a prominent emphasis on early childhood education, including 290 pre-kindergarten learners, complemented by smaller, highly focused student cohorts across grades K–12. To deliver intensive, individualized instruction and comprehensive support services, the district maintains a remarkably robust professional team totaling nearly 249 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members. This dedicated workforce comprises over 52 FTE teachers, 23 FTE instructional aides, and more than 173 FTE support staff, ensuring exceptionally low student-to-staff ratios and tailored resources for every learner in the system.
