Shiawassee Regional ESD

Located at 1025 N. Shiawassee Street in Corunna, Michigan, the Shiawassee Regional Educational Service District (ESD) serves as a vital academic hub for the surrounding rural fringe community within the greater Owosso area. Operating as an active, non-charter public entity with a primary emphasis on special education and vocational programming, the district encompasses two specialized operational schools. Shiawassee Regional ESD provides educational services across a complete grade continuum spanning pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, alongside specialized ungraded programs designed to accommodate diverse learner needs across the county.

The district serves an enrollment of 640 students, characterized by a substantial foundation in early childhood programming with nearly 480 pre-kindergarten learners. The student body includes 354 male and 286 female students, representing various cultural backgrounds including White, Hispanic, multiracial, American Indian, Black, and Pacific Islander youth.
