Fortis Academy

Located in a large suburban setting within the greater Ann Arbor metropolitan area, Fortis Academy is an actively operating, independent public charter district based at 3875 Golfside Road in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Designed to support early childhood through early adolescent development, the district offers a complete academic pathway spanning from prekindergarten through eighth grade within its single school facility. Serving a total enrollment of 681 students, Fortis Academy fosters a diverse and dynamic learning environment, bringing together a vibrant student population that reflects a broad range of cultural backgrounds, including significant representation among Black, Hispanic, multiracial, and White youth.

To ensure high-quality instruction and a well-supported school culture, the district maintains a robust staff footprint comprising nearly 157 full-time equivalent (FTE) dedicated personnel.
