Located at 200 Western Ave NW in Faribault, Minnesota, the Cannon Valley Special Education Cooperative is an open, specialized public district dedicated to delivering comprehensive special education and vocational programming. Nestled within a distant town setting in the Faribault-Northfield metropolitan area, this non-charter cooperative operates three dedicated schools designed to serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The district plays a vital regional role, providing structured learning environments, specialized interventions, and targeted academic pathways tailored to students with diverse learning and developmental needs.

During the 2024–2025 school year, the cooperative serves a focused cohort of 97 enrolled students, with representation across primary and secondary levels and a notable emphasis on upper-high-school transition programs. To effectively meet these individualized learning requirements, the district maintains an extraordinarily robust professional team, boasting approximately 189 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members. This includes nearly 68 FTE teachers, 42 FTE instructional aides, and 80 FTE support staff members.
