Lake Agassiz Education Cooperative

Headquartered at 616 Reno St in Hawley, Minnesota, the Lake Agassiz Education Cooperative operates as an open, public special education and vocational district serving a rural distant community within the broader Fargo metropolitan area. Functioning as an educational cooperative rather than a traditional charter district, it manages three operational school facilities dedicated to providing specialized academic environments and tailored support services. The district structures its grade offerings around early childhood development—featuring robust Pre-Kindergarten programs—alongside focused secondary education for students in seventh through twelfth grade.

For the 2024–2025 school year, the cooperative serves a total enrollment of 134 students. Reflecting its distinct operational model, the student body heavily features early learners, with 103 children enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten and 31 students spanning the secondary grades (7–12).
