Minnesota Math and Science Academy

Located at 169 Jenks Avenue in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the Minnesota Math and Science Academy is an active, independent public charter district serving the vibrant Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan region. Situated within a large city setting, the district operates two school sites dedicated to delivering a seamless educational continuum from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. For the 2024–2025 academic year, the academy educates a total of 570 students with an even gender distribution of 286 male and 284 female scholars. The vibrant student body is predominantly composed of Black students (536), alongside Asian (26), White (4), Hispanic (3), and American Indian (1) learners, creating a close-knit urban academic environment focused on college and career readiness.

To foster student achievement across all grade levels, the district relies on a strong network of nearly 150 full-time equivalent staff members. Learning is led by approximately 59 full-time classroom teachers who work in tandem with 29 instructional aides to provide personalized support and small-group intervention. The instructional staff is further complemented by more than 61 dedicated support personnel who manage school operations, student services, and administrative functions across both campus facilities.
