Located at 1815 East 63 Street in Kansas City, Missouri, Brookside Charter School is an open, independent charter district situated within a large city environment in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Serving as its own local educational agency for federal programming, the district oversees two operational schools tailored to provide comprehensive instruction for children from Pre-Kindergarten through the 8th grade. This specialized grade span allows the district to focus its resources on early childhood development and middle-grade academic preparation, fostering a structured educational pathway before students transition to high school.

The district currently serves a student body of 800 learners, with a balanced enrollment composed of 402 male and 398 female students across its pre-K to middle school programs. Demographically, the student population is predominantly Black (666 students), alongside vibrant representation from Hispanic (61), multiracial (50), and White (20) communities, as well as American Indian (2) and Pacific Islander (1) students. To support this diverse learning community, Brookside Charter School maintains a robust staffing model consisting of 164 full-time equivalent (FTE) teachers, 10 FTE instructional aides, and 118.4 FTE support personnel, contributing to a dedicated full-time workforce of over 292 staff members.
