Amite County School District

Situated in the rural remote setting of Liberty, Mississippi, the Amite County School District serves as an open, traditional public school system rooted in its local community. Headquartered at 533 Maggie Street, this non-charter district manages four operational school facilities designed to guide students through every stage of their primary and secondary education. The district offers academic programs spanning from kindergarten through grade 13, alongside ungraded support services, ensuring a comprehensive continuous learning pathway for children across the region.

During the 2024–2025 school year, the district educates a total enrollment of 914 students, serving 468 male and 446 female learners. The student population represents a diverse community, composed primarily of 729 Black students and 113 White students, alongside 52 multiracial students, 15 Hispanic students, and 5 Asian students. To ensure individualized learning and operational efficiency, the district is backed by a substantial workforce of roughly 383 full-time equivalent staff members.
