Movement School Southwest

Located at 150 Osprey Point Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina, Movement School Southwest is an active, independent charter school district serving young learners in a bustling large-city setting. Operating a single dedicated campus in the Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia metropolitan region, the district specializes in early elementary education, providing instruction exclusively for students from kindergarten through third grade. Its focused academic structure offers a tailored environment designed to nurture foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth during the most formative years of a child's learning journey.

During the 2024–2025 school year, Movement School Southwest enrolled 284 students across its four grade levels, with strong initial participation in kindergarten and first grade. The campus embraces a diverse student body, predominantly serving Black and Hispanic children alongside multiracial and other minority student groups. To support these young scholars, the district maintains a robust instructional team consisting of approximately 37 full-time equivalent teachers.
