Movement School Northwest

Movement School Northwest is an active, independent charter school district located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Situated in a large city setting at 8015 Bellhaven Boulevard, the district operates a single campus dedicated exclusively to early childhood education, serving students from kindergarten through second grade. Operating within the vibrant Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia metropolitan area, this open public charter district provides tailored foundational learning designed to establish a strong academic framework for young scholars during their most formative educational years.

For the 2024–2025 academic year, Movement School Northwest maintains a total enrollment of 208 students, comprising 83 kindergarteners, 74 first graders, and 51 second graders. The student body represents a diverse community, predominantly serving Black and Hispanic children alongside multiracial and other minority scholars. To support these early learners, the district maintains a full-time equivalent faculty of 27.5 teachers, establishing an advantageous student-to-teacher ratio of under eight to one.
