Mountain Island Charter is a thriving, fully operational independent charter district located at 13440 Lucia Riverbend Highway in Mt. Holly, North Carolina. Nestled in a rural fringe setting within the vibrant Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia metropolitan region, this single-school district provides a continuous educational journey spanning kindergarten through 12th grade. Serving a total enrollment of 1,782 students, the district offers families a unified K–12 academic model that seamlessly connects elementary, middle, and high school education under one cohesive vision, fostering long-term stability and strong community roots.
