OFFICE OF EDUCATION JUVENILE JUSTICE COMMISSION

The Office of Education Juvenile Justice Commission is an open, state-operated educational agency headquartered at 1001 Spruce Street, Suite 202, in Trenton, New Jersey. Serving middle and high school students in grades 7 through 12 across 13 operational facilities, this specialized public district operates within a rural fringe community setting situated in the greater Trenton-Princeton metropolitan region. Designed to deliver targeted secondary instruction rather than traditional primary education, the non-charter district focuses on helping students fulfill core graduation requirements, regain academic momentum, and prepare for future educational or vocational pursuits.

During the 2024–2025 school year, the district enrolled 149 students, with the majority concentrated in the ninth and tenth grades. Reflecting its specialized mandate, the student body consists of 143 male and 6 female students, representing a diverse community that includes 106 Black, 32 Hispanic, 8 White, and 3 Asian learners. To address the complex academic and personal needs of its student population, the agency maintains a robust teaching staff of 110 full-time equivalent educators. This exceptional staffing ratio allows for highly individualized instruction, intensive academic intervention, and structured classroom environments across all of its educational sites.
