Plumsted Township School District

Located at 131 Evergreen Road in New Egypt, New Jersey, the Plumsted Township School District serves as a vibrant, fully operational public school system offering a seamless educational journey from prekindergarten through twelfth grade. Set within a distinct rural community that forms part of the expansive New York–Newark–Jersey City metropolitan area, the district balances small-town charm with regional accessibility. Operating three dedicated school buildings, this non-charter, traditional public district provides a stable and structured learning environment designed to guide students through early childhood development, middle-level exploration, and high school graduation.

During the 2024–2025 school year, the district serves an enrollment of nearly 1,200 students across its PK–12 spectrum. To support this student body, Plumsted Township maintains a well-resourced workforce featuring approximately 190 full-time equivalent teachers, nearly 30 instructional aides, and nearly 196 support personnel, bringing the total district staff to more than 415 full-time equivalent positions.
