Davidson Academy

Located in the heart of Reno, Nevada, at the Jot Travis Building on North Virginia Street, Davidson Academy operates as a specialized, non-charter public school district serving secondary students in grades 6 through 12. Situated within a vibrant large-city environment, this fully operational single-school district provides a dedicated academic framework tailored to advanced middle and high school learners. Designed to deliver an immersive educational experience, the academy connects local and regional students to a focused curriculum rooted in a unique higher-education campus atmosphere.

The academy maintains an intimate academic community with a total enrollment of 169 students, featuring a strong upperclassman presence alongside middle-school cohorts. The student body reflects a diverse demographic landscape—including notable Asian, White, multiracial, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, and Black student populations—with 109 male and 60 female students enrolled. To support this specialized student body, the district maintains a robust professional infrastructure comprising over 70 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members. With approximately 22.4 FTE teachers, 17 instructional aides, and 31 support staff, Davidson Academy offers an exceptionally low student-to-staff ratio, ensuring highly personalized instruction, guidance, and administrative support for every learner.
