AECI II: NYC CHARTER HS

AECI II: NYC Charter High School operates as an open, independent charter district dedicated to secondary education in the heart of the Bronx, New York. Conveniently located at 116 E. 169th Street, the single-school district sits within a dynamic, large city setting in the New York–Newark–Jersey City metropolitan area. Serving students exclusively in grades 9 through 12, AECI II functions as its own local education agency for federal programs, offering a specialized high school learning environment designed to prepare scholars for post-secondary education and future workforce demands.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, the school serves a total of 449 students, maintaining a balanced enrollment across all four high school cohorts: 108 ninth graders, 121 tenth graders, 109 eleventh graders, and 111 twelfth graders. The student body reflects a rich urban diversity, comprising predominantly Hispanic (343) and Black (100) scholars, with 263 male and 186 female students. To foster academic growth and individual student development, the district maintains a robust workforce consisting of 71 full-time equivalent teachers, supported by 13 instructional aides and more than 46 support personnel, bringing the total staffing context to over 130 full-time equivalent professionals.
