ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL

Located at 117 N. Franklin Avenue in Hempstead, New York, Academy Charter School is an active, independent charter district serving families within a large suburban setting in the greater New York-Newark-Jersey City metropolitan area. Functioning as an independent local education agency, the district offers a continuous academic pathway spanning from Kindergarten through 12th grade. During the 2024–2025 academic year, the school educates a student body of 2,003 enrolled pupils across its elementary, middle, and high school grades. The student population is richly diverse, comprising 1,299 Hispanic students, 646 Black students, 23 multiracial students, 16 Asian students, 13 American Indian students, and 6 White students, with a gender distribution of 1,073 female and 930 male learners.
