Located at 320 W Jefferson in Checotah, Oklahoma, Checotah Public Schools serves as a vital educational anchor for its rural remote community. Operating as a traditional, open public school district across four operational campuses, the district offers a continuous learning pathway spanning from prekindergarten through twelfth grade. With a total enrollment of 1,428 students, the district fosters a diverse academic community that includes 704 White students, 460 American Indian students, 179 multiracial students, and 48 Hispanic students, alongside Black and Asian scholars. Checotah Public Schools employs a total workforce of approximately 383 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members, which includes nearly 180 FTE teachers and over 22 FTE instructional aides.
