Situated in a rural distant setting in eastern Oklahoma, Chouteau-Mazie Public Schools serves as a vital educational foundation for the surrounding community. Headquartered at 521 North McCracken in Chouteau, this fully operational, traditional public school district operates five distinct campus facilities that provide a seamless educational pathway from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. For the 2024–2025 academic year, the district educates a student body of 854 children, consisting of 439 male and 415 female students. The student population reflects a diverse rural community, highlighted by strong representation among White (452), multiracial (186), and American Indian (146) learners, alongside Hispanic, Asian, Black, and Pacific Islander students.
