Situated at 20 Southwest Fifth Street in Krebs, Oklahoma, the Krebs Public School District serves as an active, traditional public school system nestled within the McAlester metropolitan area. Categorized as a remote town district, this single-facility district provides a focused educational program spanning from pre-kindergarten through the eighth grade. Operating as an independent public entity rather than a charter or supervisory union component, the district offers an accessible, community-centered learning environment designed to guide young scholars through their foundational elementary and middle school years.

During the 2024–2025 school year, the district educated a vibrant student body of 435 learners, composed of 217 female and 218 male students. The student population brings rich cultural diversity to the campus, comprising 183 White students, 121 students of two or more races, 84 American Indian students, 41 Hispanic students, 4 Black students, and 2 Asian students, with strong early-childhood and primary grade enrollment laying the groundwork for academic growth. Supporting this student body is a comprehensive workforce of 122 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members, which includes nearly 62 FTE teaching positions, 21 FTE instructional aides, and 39 FTE support personnel, ensuring that students receive dedicated instructional attention and administrative backing throughout their academic journey.
