WK JACKSON LEADERSHIP CHARTER ACADEMY

Located in the heart of Oklahoma City at 5700 N. Kelley Avenue (Suite A), W.K. Jackson Leadership Charter Academy operates as an open, independent public charter school district dedicated to foundational early childhood and primary education. Situated within a vibrant urban context, this single-school district serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd grade, providing a targeted academic start during critical developmental years. During the 2024–2025 academic year, the academy enrolled 152 young learners, beginning with 36 pre-kindergarten and 40 kindergarten students, alongside 37 first graders, 21 second graders, and 18 third graders. The student body reflects an almost equal balance of genders (77 female and 75 male students) and is predominantly composed of Black/African American children, along with multiracial and Hispanic students, forming a tight-knit school community designed for early leadership development.

To support its primary-grade mission, W.K. Jackson Leadership Charter Academy maintains a robust staffing model that emphasizes individualized attention and student support. The district employs 16 full-time equivalent (FTE) classroom teachers, supported by an instructional aide and nearly 10 dedicated support staff members, bringing the total district staff to approximately 27 full-time personnel. This staffing structure yields an advantageous student-to-teacher ratio of roughly 9.5 to 1, allowing educators to foster small-group learning, tailored reading and math instruction, and personalized social-emotional guidance.
