Village Green Virtual

Village Green Virtual is an active, open independent public charter school district located at 135 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. Operating as a single-school local education agency within the greater Providence-Warwick metropolitan area, the district delivers a specialized secondary education program tailored exclusively to high school students in grades 9 through 12. Set within a vibrant midsize city environment, Village Green Virtual serves as its own administrative district for federal educational programs, providing an accessible, urban learning community dedicated to academic growth, personalized instruction, and post-secondary preparation.

For the 2024–2025 academic year, the district maintains a focused enrollment of 203 students, balanced steadily across high school cohorts with 46 freshmen, 51 sophomores, 52 juniors, and 54 seniors. The student body is rich in diversity, comprising 124 Hispanic, 52 Black, 14 multiracial, 10 White, and 3 American Indian students, alongside a balanced gender composition of 110 female and 93 male learners. To ensure students receive comprehensive guidance, Village Green Virtual relies on a substantial professional team totaling 56 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff members. This includes 28 instructional teachers, 3 instructional aides, and 25 specialized support staff, yielding an exceptional student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 7 to 1 that enables individualized academic support and dedicated student mentoring.
