Located at 2121 South Pamplico Highway in Pamplico, South Carolina, Florence School District 02 (Florence 02) is an active, traditional public school system anchored in a rural distant setting within the greater Florence metropolitan region. Operating independently as a non-charter district, Florence 02 delivers a seamless, comprehensive educational continuum from pre-kindergarten all the way through 12th grade across its two operational schools. The district serves as a vital focal point for the surrounding area, blending a close-knit, community-centered culture with a complete PK–12 academic program designed to support students through every stage of their development.

During the 2024–2025 school year, Florence 02 served a total enrollment of 1,114 students, comprising 535 female and 579 male learners distributed across elementary, middle, and secondary grade levels. Reflecting its local community, the student population includes 617 White, 375 Black, 60 multiracial, 59 Hispanic, and 3 Asian students. Academic instruction and operational excellence are sustained by a robust staffing context of approximately 328 full-time equivalent (FTE) personnel.
